Jonathan Muhlendorf, CFP®

 

My passion for helping people with their money began in 1998 at an internship in the Planned Giving Department of The University of Virginia. Charitable planning inspired me to become a financial advisor so I could continue to help people put their money to good use for themselves, their families, and their community.

After college, I became one of the youngest CFP® professionals in the country and worked for ultra-wealthy families in the Washington, D.C. area. My clients included an NFL team owner, a former IRS commissioner, a Supreme Court Justice, a Governor, and a member of the Federal Reserve Board. This experience exposed me to tax strategies and tax return preparation along with sophisticated wealth management.

In 2005 I moved back to southern Virginia and opened up my financial planning practice.  My goal has always been to make a difference in my client’s lives as well as my community.  I believe that financial planning does not have to be complicated, thus Envision Wealth Management was born and continues to find ways to improve our client’s lives while simplifying the financial planning process.

What is most important to me is my wife, Alyssa, our two energetic children, and supporting our local community. If I am not helping a client, with my family, or working for my community, I enjoy taking care of my two saltwater fish tanks, growing corals, and sailing. One unique feature of our family is that we have seven adopted cats running around our house and yard. If you think that is way too many, I agree but don’t tell my wife.

Susie Knotts

Client Service Associate

Susie has over 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry in multiple capacities, sales, support, compliance and principal roles. She holds her life, health and annuities licenses, as well as Series 6,7,63 & 26. In her most recent role, she oversaw more than 100 reps and assistants regarding compliance at a local OSJ.

She is married to her Husband Don and they both enjoy entertaining friends and family, working together in their yard, cooking and creating in their kitchen. Together they have three daughters and three grandchildren. They live in the home Susie grew up in and in 2006 they built an addition to care for her parents. Her Father is now well into his 90s. Their youngest daughter is still at home and shares her parents love for shopping, but dreads going into the kitchen stores because her parents take forever.

Susie is involved in her local church through mission work, being a member of a women’s circle and has served on the finance committee.

Most recently with The Frieden Agency as their Director of Compliance, Allison spent 20+ years with UBS and its predecessor firms, Paine Webber and Kidder Peabody & Company. Before leaving UBS to join The Frieden Agency, Allison held many Operational positions of increasing responsibilities and left as an Associate Director in the Norfolk, VA office.

Holding a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration from Old Dominion University, Allison maintains her FINRA Series 7, 8, 24, 63 and 65 registrations as well as the Virginia Life and Health Insurance license. Additionally, Allison is trained as a FINRA Arbitrator. In her spare time she enjoys sailing and spending time on the water.

Laurel graduated from Radford University with a degree in interior design. She worked for Ferguson Enterprises first as a showroom consultant and then an office clerk. She worked in child development for over thirteen years as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher, a nanny, and most recently, a teacher’s assistant for SECEP working with students with Autism. She is excited to return to an office setting to put her people and organizational skills to use. Laurel is married to her husband, Charles, and they have two daughters, Lilly (10), and June (7). They live in Norfolk and are active in their girls’ school and extracurricular activities. Laurel loves cooking, organizing, shopping, exercising, and decorating. Laurel volunteers her time as a KD Circle member raising money for CHKD and is the volunteer coordinator for the Magnolia Circle’s Dragon Boat Race committee. She also is on her church’s communications committee.

Timothy S. Johnson has proven and sought after expertise in the areas of fixed-income, equity allocations, alternative investments, as well as wealth management for affluent retirees. Tim’s prior experience stems from specializing in debt, convertible and risk arbitrage analysis and trading. He also possesses solid knowledge in the area of municipal finance, arranging municipal and private-use bond issues related to arbitrage and investment strategies as they relate to bond issue proceeds.

Nasser is a member of Lincoln’s Investment Policy Committee and Manager Selection Committee. Prior to his employment with Lincoln Financial Advisors, Nasser worked for Legg Mason where he was a Portfolio Manager responsible for managing customized investment portfolios totaling close to $400 million.

Nasser earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Maryland.

He is a member of the Association of Investment Management and Research and the Baltimore Security Analysts Society.

Bob is a member of the American & Connecticut Bar Associations. Hooman prides himself on a comprehensive approach to financial planning. As a Director of Planning with Envision Wealth Management and Lincoln Financial Advisors’ National Planning Department, he is proficient in constructing financial planning cases nationwide and specializes in working with the affluent and highly affluent marketplace. He serves on numerous national committees.
